Jim Marshall - President & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Marshall is a graduate of Campbell University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business and a certification in Trust Management. He is also a graduate of the Louisiana State University School of Banking. His whole banking career has been in North Carolina where he started with First Citizens Bank based in Raleigh. While there he served in a variety of positions including Area Vice President and Senior Vice President. He joined The Community Bank in Pilot Mountain in 1998 where he was the Branch Administrator and the Chief Credit Officer. He later spent some time with Catawba Valley Bank in Hickory and served as its President and Chief Executive Officer. He is currently on the Boards of the Lake Norman Youth Soccer Club, the Lake Norman YMCA, and the Mooresville-South Iredell Chamber of Commerce.
James Clement - Senior Vice President & Chief Credit Officer
Mr. Clement is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. He is also a graduate of the University of Virginia, Virginia Bankers School of Bank Management and a graduate of the Louisiana State University Graduate School of Banking of the South. Throughout his career, Mr. Clement has served in multiple roles at several community banks in both North Carolina and Virginia, including President, Chief Executive Officer, City Executive, Senior Vice-President and Vice-President. His many roles have included significant time with loan administration, credit administration, credit risk management, mortgage services, human resources and executive administration. Most recently, he was a Senior Vice-President of Credit Administration and Credit Risk Management for Southern Community Bank & Trust in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Mr. Clement has over 34 years of experience in commercial and consumer banking.
Carl Larson - Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Larson is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Mr. Larson comes to the bank with 16 years of finance and accounting experience. Mr. Larson's prior roles included serving as an Audit Manager with the public accounting firm KPMG LLP, as well as holding different finance management positions at several financial institutions. Mr. Larson most recently served as CFO at Carolina Commerce Bank in Gastonia, NC.
Chris Nichols - Senior Vice President & Senior Commercial Lender
Mr. Nichols is a native of Mt. Airy, NC and has worked in the banking industry for over 20 years with over 15 years in Commercial Banking. Prior to joining blueharbor bank, Mr. Nichols was a Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer with Surrey Bank & Trust of Mt. Airy, NC for 11 years. He has been active in US government lending programs including the Small Business Administration’s 7(a) and 504 loan programs, the US Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Business and Industry lending programs as well as the USDA Farm Service Agency lending programs.
Mr. Nichols is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and the Virginia Bankers School of Bank Management. Mr. Nichols has been a member of the Rotary Club for 14 years and the Ruritan Club for 7 years.
Stewart Heath - Vice President & Commercial Lender
Mr. Heath is a graduate of James Madison University where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Finance. He is also a graduate of the North Carolina Bankers Association School of Banking. Mr. Heath has 24 years of experience in the financial services industry with 19 of those in the greater Charlotte area. During his career, he has held positions in credit card operations, project management, retail banking, and commercial banking. Prior to joining blueharbor bank, Mr. Heath was employed for 12 years at Fifth Third Bank, previously First Charter Bank, in Cornelius, NC as a Senior Commercial Banker and Area Manager.
Danielle Johnson - Vice President of Deposit Operations
Mrs. Johnson is a graduate of Radford University where she received a BS in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. She was most recently an Assistant Vice President and Deposit Operations Supervisor for Southern Community Bank and Trust in Winston-Salem, NC. Prior to that position, she served as Financial Analyst for The Community Bank in Pilot Mountain, NC. Mrs. Johnson has been employed in the banking industry for over 12 years, all in North Carolina.
Nancy Sweet - Vice President & Branch Manager
Ms. Sweet attended New York Institute of Technology and graduated with an associate’s degree from Nassau Community college in Business Administration. She has worked in the banking industry for 37 years in the New York/Long Island area. She was most recently employed as a Financial Center Manager for Fifth Third Bank, previously First Charter Bank.
Jennifer Dugan. - Mortgage Lending Specialist
Mrs. Dugan is a graduate from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has worked in the banking industry for the last nine years. She was most recently employed at BB&T in Mooresville as a Mortgage Originator.
